Sacré et Sublime: Music of the French Romantics
Presented by Fremantle Symphony Orchestra in collaboration with Perth Undergraduate Choral Society and the Barnabas Singers.
Join us for an enchanting afternoon as Sarah Mills Menogue conducts the FSO, PUCS and the Barnabas Singers in a concert which will transport you through the evocative soundscapes of France’s most celebrated Romantic and early 20th century composers, offering a sublime blend of orchestral and choral masterpieces.

Light In The Sky
An afternoon of sublime music by Norwegian composer Ola Gjeilo. Under the direction of conductor Sarah Mills Menogue, and featuring the inimitable Darlington Quartet, the Perth Undergraduate Choral Society and the Barnabas Singers joined forces for this moving performance.
From the haunting beauty of Northern Lights and the drama of Dark Night of the Soul to the beauty of the Sunrise Mass, listeners were carried from the heavens to the earth. Performed in the beautiful Wesley Church in the heart of the city.

Glorious Choir and Brass
Celebrate the belated 60th anniversaries of the Perth Undergraduate Choral Society and WA Brass!
Be taken with well-loved favourites CHH Parry’s 'I Was Glad' and the John Rutter 'Gloria', and showcasing music by Morten Lauridsen, Lili Boulanger, Arvo Pärt and Eleanor Daley. Also featuring 'An Age of Kings' by Edward Gregson, a dramatic depiction of the political turmoil in the British monarchy from Henry V to Richard III.

PUCS is celebrating 60 (+1) years of music making!
'Poems from the Fridge' takes a look back over our favourite pieces from the last 60 years, and commemorates the spirit and music of Rob Kay, one of our most eminent musical forces from the 1970/80s! We’ll be performing choral staples like Gaudeamus - all the way through to the choral rock of Jesus Christ Superstar and the legendary Farnsy - plus contemporary favourites by Billy Joel, Tim Minchin, and many more!

Festive Celebrations
The UWA Choral Society joins forces with the Perth Undergraduate Choral Society, St Barnabas Choir and a full orchestra for this celebratory musical event. Featuring a rarely performed Oratorium by the prodigious musician and composer, Fanny Mendelssohn (sister to composer Felix Mendelssohn), and other great choral works including Vivaldi’s Gloria and some much loved Christmas carols, this concert is a festive season must-see.
