About PUCS

The Perth Undergraduate Choral Society (PUCS) is a non-auditioned community choir based at the University of Western Australia and has been a part of WA's choral landscape for over 60 years. PUCS aims to provide a supportive environment for all singers, regardless of previous training or experience, while still maintaining the high musical standards our audiences have come to love.

PUCS is available for hire and performs at a wide range of public and private events. We have an extensive repertoire that includes classical and contemporary music, as well as a long list of Christmas carols. PUCS have performed at the Kalbarri Skywalk, flashmobs, weddings and funerals, and sung carols at shopping centres, Crown Perth, farmers markets and festivals. If you're thinking of hiring a choir for your next event in Perth, get in touch with us here: info@pucs.org.au

Although PUCS has traditionally been an undergraduate choir, our membership is not limited to students. We currently have a range of members, including undergraduate students, postgraduate students, full-time workers and retirees! Anyone who enjoys singing is welcome!

PUCS rehearses on Monday evenings from 7-9 pm at Tunley Lecture Theatre (Conservatorium of Music) at UWA. We have two main rehearsal seasons per year, running alongside university semester dates. These semesters each include a rehearsal camp weekend, fun social events, and culminate in an amazing concert. Following the second semester, PUCS also has a short carols season to prepare for our various carols performances each December.
